TL;DR

Radar Test Engineer (Aerospace): Testing and calibration of next-generation Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) Radar systems with an accent on digital, RF and antenna circuit cards. Focus on designing complex RF test systems, executing functional and environmental testing, and ensuring certification to DO-160 and DO-254 standards.

Location: Seattle, WA. Must be a U.S. person or compliant with U.S. export control laws.

Salary: $140K – $225K + Equity

What you will do

  • Test and calibrate Active Electronic Scanning Array (AESA) Radar systems.
  • Own the engineering and production testing of digital, RF, and antenna circuit cards.
  • Drive test and calibration equipment in collaboration with the Radar hardware design team.
  • Support radar system integration and testing in the engineering lab and on aircraft during check-out flights.
  • Lead certification of radar systems to DO-160 environmental, DO-254 design assurance, and FCC standards.

Requirements

  • BS in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional hands-on experience with RF testing and antenna range wireless testing.
  • Ability to design complex RF test systems.
  • Experience writing and executing test plans for functional and environmental testing.
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.
  • Capacity to perform in compliance with U.S. export control laws (U.S. person status preferred).

Nice to have

  • Advanced Degree in science or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in flight testing of advanced RF systems.
  • RF circuit design experience up to 12GHz.
  • Experience developing system architectures and managing requirements for avionics certification.
  • DO-160 and DO-254 hardware design assurance experience.
