What you will do

• Act as the technical lead for spacecraft avionics packages, managing project execution from inception to delivery.
• Translate program requirements into detailed system architectures.
• Coordinate technical activities across hardware, firmware/FPGA, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain program requirements, traceability, and verification matrices.
• Execute validation and verification activities, including environmental, functional, and EMI/EMC tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug board-level and system-level issues during integration.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in space, avionics, or complex electronics systems.
• Proficiency in requirements management and creating verification artifacts.
• Hands-on experience in circuit board design, debugging, or FPGA design.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of avionics interfaces such as SpaceWire, Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, or RS-422/TTL.
• Experience with environmental qualification testing (vibration, thermal/vacuum, shock).
• Skills in hardware bring-up, lab automation, and test-script development.
• Familiarity with FPGA toolflows, schematic capture, or PCB layout review.
