What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of automated dimensional measurement systems for body and vehicle quality.
• Define detailed zone processes, conversion timing, and cost estimates for new and existing programs.
• Develop Statements of Requirements (SOR) for measurement, tooling, and automation systems.
• Manage system development from concept through processing, installation, and dimensional validation in plants.
• Ensure delivered bodies meet Manufacturing Validation requirements, including MV-1 and PED114.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to manage deliverables, timing, and structured problem solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in Body Manufacturing and/or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience with automated system development, including processing, design, and integration phases.
• Proven project management experience with suppliers and integrators.
• General knowledge of statistics and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Warren, Michigan.

Nice to have

• Experience with inspection systems using moving and fixed cameras.
• Proficiency with GOM software and Teamcenter Visualization/Mockup.
• Experience in body shop launch and plant environments.
• Experience troubleshooting tooling issues and driving root-cause corrective action.
