Salary: $17–$19 per hour plus commission

What you will do

• Communicate with businesses via telephone and written correspondence to recover outstanding balances.
• Conduct research using internet and third-party reports to obtain reliable contact information.
• Negotiate claim resolutions and settlements with insurance carriers, attorneys, and other responsible parties.
• Establish lien release agreements and monthly payment contracts.
• Prepare investigative correspondence and acquire necessary background information.
• Maintain account work standards and escalate high-risk accounts to management.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA (indicated by 401k and EEO status).
• At least 1 year of 3rd party collections and/or subrogation experience.
• Ability to negotiate settlements and exercise independent judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a preference for Excel.
• Experience in customer service and the ability to de-escalate adverse situations.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
