What you will do

• Define and lead the engineering strategy for Cloud Platforms, Frontend, SaaS, and Backend Architecture.
• Establish consistent engineering standards, governance, and ways of working across all engineering chapters.
• Embed modern software engineering and DevOps practices, utilizing DORA metrics for continuous improvement.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted engineering and automation to enhance delivery, quality, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, and Data leaders to align technical strategy and delivery plans with business priorities.
• Lead and mentor a team of senior engineering leaders in a complex enterprise environment.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading software engineering functions within a complex enterprise technology environment.
• Proven track record of managing senior engineering managers and geographically distributed teams.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, enterprise architecture, and platform engineering.
• Experience developing engineering operating models and embedding DevOps practices.
• Ability to introduce AI-enabled capabilities into secure production enterprise services.
• Must be based in the UK (Solihull or Nottingham) to support hybrid work and travel to other sites.
