What you will do

• Serve as the primary in-house legal advisor on all labor and employment matters across the organization.
• Partner with HR throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and separations.
• Lead legal strategy and workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, and misconduct.
• Advise leadership on federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour and EEO compliance.
• Draft and maintain employment agreements, handbooks, and restrictive covenant agreements.
• Manage employment litigation and administrative agency matters, overseeing outside counsel and budgets.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 8-10+ years of employment law experience, including significant in-house or law firm experience.
• Deep knowledge of Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and NLRA.
• Proven experience leading sensitive workplace investigations.
• Experience managing employment litigation and coordinating with external legal counsel.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to New York, NY.
