What you will do
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of technology-led projects and initiatives.
- Monitor progress of projects led by other managers and provide mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Prioritize project selection and provide guidance on delivery strategies.
- Deliver complex IT projects, coordinating internal resources and third-party suppliers.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and resource forecasts while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with the ability to quickly understand complex technical topics.
- Proficiency in producing Business Cases, Project Initiation Documents, and project documentation.
- Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, UK.
- Experience in delivering IT change within a financially regulated environment.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
Nice to have
- PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
- Experience with IT development methodologies such as Agile or SDLC.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, including pensions, investments, and stockbroking.
