Mechanical Engineer, Ground Support Equipment (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and developing ground support equipment for the F-35 program with an accent on hardware documentation, technical evaluations, and environmental qualification. Focus on driving hardware development from concept to on-aircraft testing and verification using Catia v5.

Location: Must be based in Fort Worth, Texas (Hybrid / Part-time Remote)

What you will do

• Create new hardware designs using Catia v5 and manage engineering documentation.
• Develop bill of materials, hardware requirement specifications, and trade studies.
• Drive hardware development from initial concept through to on-aircraft testing.
• Manage technical aspects of design and manufacturing with external suppliers.
• Conduct MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing.
• Process documentation through PDM and Windchill using Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Catia, Solidworks, or similar design toolsuites.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design philosophy and process flow.
• Experience in coordinating design projects and integrating requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with stress analysis.
• Proficiency in environmental electromagnetic effects qualification testing.
• Experience using Atlassian JIRA.
