Grants Specialist

What you will do

• Manage an assigned grants portfolio and specialist area, aligned with organisational priorities and workload.
• Lead internal prioritisation and grant management processes, including coordination, documentation, communication, follow-up, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate grant information and records in Cycles and other NRC systems.
• Support donor and partner engagement, including delegated representation, requirement clarification, negotiation support, and consortium coordination.
• Contribute to grants management quality reviews, health checks, and follow-up actions across country offices and portfolios.
• Provide temporary portfolio support during peak workload, absence, or capacity gaps as agreed with the line manager.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably at master’s level.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in grants management, programme management, institutional funding, donor administration, or related humanitarian/development work.
• Proven experience managing complex proposals, agreements, implementation follow-up, revisions, and donor reporting across multiple stakeholders or locations.
• Strong knowledge of institutional and private donor requirements and contractual compliance for donor-funded grants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• High proficiency in Microsoft 365 and grants management systems; ability to work independently in a geographically dispersed global team.
