What you will do

• Conduct regular alcohol and drug abuse counseling sessions per state regulation.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions to support patient recovery.
• Maintain complete, comprehensive, and well-organized patient records.
• Provide intake and readmission services, including supportive follow-up counseling.
• Deliver crisis intervention and support services to patients.
• Collaborate with the Counselor Supervisor to ensure adherence to program policies.

Requirements

• Must be based in Gadsden, AL for on-site work.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to use proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues.
• Knowledge of substance abuse populations and treatment planning.
• Compliance with federal and state regulations regarding certification, licensure, and degree.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
