What you will do
- Design and implement efficient pipeline architectures for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Develop modular and efficient code for data integration following modern development practices.
- Perform data ingestion from source systems using ETL processes.
- Conduct regular pipeline maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Implement data quality testing and validation to maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Collaborate with data modelers, scientists, and SMEs to deliver impactful solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in creating and maintaining data pipelines.
- Expert knowledge in dbt, SQL, Python, Spark (PySpark), Git, Azure DevOps, and Databricks.
- Expertise in cloud engineering (AWS, Azure) and mandatory experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven leadership skills in team management, project oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience handling scientific datasets for cheminformatics or bioinformatics.
- Knowledge of FAIR data principles, data governance, and scientific data standards.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
