Senior Engineer - Project (Automation)

Location: Kaunas, Lithuania; manufacturing-site role with on-site equipment and process responsibilities.

Salary: €2,700–€3,500 gross per month.

What you will do

• Lead the delivery, testing, qualification, and release of new or upgraded production equipment.
• Manage equipment suppliers against User Requirements Specifications and design standards.
• Plan project schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communications.
• Execute or support process validation activities, including URS, FDS, FAT, SAT, OQ, and PQ.
• Develop automated system concepts, prototypes, and proof-of-principle tests while driving process and product improvements.
• Support new product introductions, safety and risk assessments, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of related experience.
• Experience with automated or semi-automated manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience with process validation, equipment qualification, and structured project management.
• Ability to collaborate with Global Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and NPD.
• Ability to ensure manufacturing systems meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or Project Management.
• PMP, Six Sigma, PE/CPE, or OSHA 10/30 certification.
• Experience leading capital projects, multi-site initiatives, or technology transfers.
• Background in robotics, high-speed automated systems, heat-seal or web-handling technologies, pneumatics, or vision systems.
• Familiarity with Lean tools, industrial controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
