Technical Lead (AI)

Location: Australia; hybrid arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home per week.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical leadership across engineering, product, and design teams within the Retail Life business.
• Own solution designs across squads and technologies, ensuring scalable and well-architected outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions into production that create value for customers and the business.
• Drive automation across delivery processes and technical solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Champion DevSecOps practices and align delivery with architectural roadmaps and technology strategy.
• Coach teams on testing, security, design patterns, engineering best practices, and code quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams and driving technical delivery outcomes.
• Strong hands-on software development experience across modern technology stacks.
• Experience delivering large and complex transformation or migration initiatives.
• Expertise with cloud technologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and production-grade platforms.
• Experience applying AI-assisted development approaches and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
