Hardware Board Design Senior Staff Engineer

What you will do

• Drive board architecture, design, component selection, schematic entry, layout, bring-up, tape-out, and post-manufacturing validation.
• Design evaluation and test systems in collaboration with hardware, system, electrical testing, DVT, and signal integrity engineers.
• Develop high-speed board solutions using SERDES, PCIe Gen3–Gen5, and 25–200 Gbps Ethernet interfaces.
• Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, power supply performance, and mechanical and thermal design requirements are met.
• Guide ODM partners and lead post-silicon board bring-up activities.
• Provide system-level input to device definition and coordinate requirements across functional organizations.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of related experience.
• 10+ years of experience designing high-speed digital or analog circuitry on complex, high-density PCB assemblies.
• 5+ years of experience working with ODMs and 5+ years designing high-density boards with fine-pitch components and dense connections.
• Expertise in high-speed interfaces including DDR4, PCIe Gen3/4, and 10–100G Ethernet.
• Strong knowledge of power supply design, signal and power integrity, and hands-on laboratory measurements.
• Experience leading small design engineering teams and familiarity with Cadence Allegro schematic and layout tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with medium- to high-end CPUs.
• Experience with Ethernet switches, microcontrollers, and processors.
