Sr. Principal Power Electronics Engineer

What you will do

• Refine and manage system-level electrical requirements for advanced grid-connected power conversion systems.
• Provide technical leadership for power electronics architecture, schematic, PCB, hardware, and system design reviews.
• Design, analyze, simulate, and optimize coupled inductors and other high-power magnetic components.
• Develop and review electrical, environmental, reliability, performance, and hardware validation plans.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend design improvements or corrective actions.
• Support certification, technology maturation, commercialization, supplier engagement, and cross-functional technical collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in power electronics or power conversion product development.
• Deep experience with high-power, grid-connected systems such as solar inverters, energy storage systems, industrial power supplies, or motor drives.
• Experience designing coupled inductors, transformers, reactors, or other high-power magnetic components, including electrical simulation and analysis.
• Experience with hardware validation and qualification, product safety, certification, and relevant UL and IEC standards.
• Ability to lead technically complex projects through influence, mentoring, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
