What you will do

• Define the research and detection agenda across SIEM, endpoint, and security ML.
• Set the quality standards for detections, preventions, and published research.
• Determine investment priorities for malware detection, ransomware, and AI-driven security.
• Lead the publishing strategy for hirify.global Security Labs, including original malware analysis.
• Represent hirify.global as the public voice with customers, press, analysts, and the security community.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership to translate research into shipped protections.

Requirements

• Deep technical credibility in threat research, detection engineering, or security ML.
• Hands-on experience performing technical security research personally.
• Strong public communication skills for industry visibility and customer engagement.
• Ability to lead through influence and expertise as a senior individual contributor.
• A defined perspective on the role of AI in security, including its promises and risks.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Publicly recognized contributions to threat research or detection content.
• Experience with open detection ecosystems or GitHub-based research workflows.
• Background in malware models, behavioral detections, or small language models (SLMs).
• Existing presence in the security community through publications or speaking engagements.
