What you will do

• Perform technical analysis, design, and development of software applications using emerging technology platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and front-end developers to design and build robust API services.
• Lead the development of design requirements, conduct code reviews, and implement system integration tests.
• Provide application support, troubleshooting, and post-implementation reviews for new features.
• Mentor other developers and promote a culture of learning and sharing within the team.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.
• 4-6 years of experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
• 4-6 years of experience with relational (Oracle, Postgres) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) databases.
• Proven experience with Agile tools and methodologies (Atlassian suite).
• Must be able to work onsite at the Brampton, ON office.
• Must clear a criminal background check; credit check and drivers abstract may be required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Docker, Play/Akka, ElasticSearch, Kibana, Azure, Jenkins, and Nginx.
• Experience with operational monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, or PagerDuty.
• Understanding of the entire development cycle from concept to deployment and monitoring.
