Salary: $120,000 - $180,000

What you will do

• Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale cloud applications.
• Build and extend AuthN/AuthZ services capable of making millions of decisions per second.
• Leverage cloud-based systems to automate cyber threat intelligence production at global scale.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to define and optimize system architecture and performance.
• Mentor other developers on backend, data storage technologies, and distributed systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA (Sunnyvale, CA) for hybrid work.
• 7+ years of backend object-oriented development experience in Cloud SaaS or SOA.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, Scala, Node.js, Python, or C# (.NET Core).
• Proven experience building high-scale event-driven microservices (5M+ events/day).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability, concurrency, and multi-threading.
• Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience in data structures and algorithms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Fine Grained Access Control mechanisms like OpenFGA or Zanzibar.
• Contributions to the open source community and leadership in OS projects.
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields.
• Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
