Salary: $207,000–$275,000 base

What you will do

• Drive technical decision-making, mentor engineers, and grow team capability.
• Champion event-driven architecture adoption and align stakeholders across the organization.
• Design and implement data platform solutions for ingestion, flow, and retrieval with managed delivery.
• Develop stream processing architecture and solve for scalability and reliability.
• Improve performance, security, reliability, and scalability of data platforms and participate in on-call rotation.
• Define guidelines and guard rails for data access and storage; ensure compliance with data protection standards.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of data consistency and concurrency models; ability to define data models and data management guidelines.
• Experience with distributed NewSQL datastores (e.g., CockroachDB, TiDB, YDB, Yugabyte) and/or stream processing tools (e.g., NATS, Kafka).
• Experience designing and operating these systems at scale.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for event-driven and/or stateful orchestration; interest in contributing to a Kubernetes operator for data systems.
• Production-level proficiency in Go or Python; comfort with Linux, shell scripting, and Linux storage/networking stacks.
