Location: Hybrid (Vancouver, BC, Canada). Fixed model: 3 days a week in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Salary: $110k - 140k / year + bonus

What you will do

• Define and evolve foundational data architecture across relational, columnar, and vector stores.
• Build scalable pipelines and star schemas to consolidate multi-system enterprise data from sources like Salesforce, Gong, and ServiceNow.
• Own the RAG context engine by designing embedding pipelines, chunking strategies, and index update mechanisms.
• Develop robust transformation and entity resolution jobs to clean and deduplicate disparate source data.
• Implement DataOps practices including automated testing, CI/CD, and end-to-end observability.
• Integrate role-based access controls and security standards to safeguard retrieval layers against AI-specific risks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience with a track record of owning enterprise architecture decisions.
• Deep expertise with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks) and ETL/ELT frameworks (dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, Fivetran).
• Production experience with vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate) and embedding pipelines.
• Strong command of dimensional modeling (star schema) and open table formats like Apache Iceberg.
• Proficiency in Python and scripting with rigorous Git and CI/CD habits.
• Practical understanding of LLM data consumption and AI security risks like prompt injection.
