What you will do

• Design and implement new software features and interfaces in the circuit simulation tool portfolio.
• Improve CI, unit testing, and code quality using modern C++ paradigms and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver production-quality simulation technologies.
• Innovate to use ML/LLM technology within an EDA software framework (without developing new ML models).
• Modernize VLSI circuit simulation tools to integrate into Agentic AI frameworks.

Requirements

• MS/PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: design, refactoring, debugging, and testing of complex applications; experience with test-driven development and modular/componentized design.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Ability to design and deploy production software systems that use ML/LLM technology (not required to be an ML/AI researcher).
• Desire to develop and deploy next-generation production EDA tools with real-world impact on integrated circuit designers’ productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with unit testing, CI/CD automation, and code review processes.
• Background in machine learning concepts (data pipelines, predictive modeling, deployment) and practical knowledge of frontier LLMs and their latency/cost/reliability tradeoffs.
• Familiarity with agent architecture concepts (ReAct loops, planning/evaluation/self-correction, persistent memory) and frameworks such as LangChain, MCP, function/tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Knowledge of RAG (retrieval pipelines, embeddings, chunking, grounding) and context engineering for consistent LLM outputs.
• Familiarity with EDA tools for VLSI circuit design and/or circuit simulation tools such as Spice and Spectre.
