What you will do

• Own day-to-day operations of the development site, including propellant manufacturing, SRM assembly, and static fire testing.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing engineers, test engineers, technicians, and operators.
• Develop and execute site operational plans and resource allocation to meet program milestones.
• Drive process maturity and yield improvement to transition R&D prototypes into repeatable production methods.
• Ensure rigorous compliance with DoD 4145.26-M, ATF regulations, ITAR, and explosive safety standards.
• Oversee facility readiness, equipment uptime, and capital planning for casting systems and test stands.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or test leadership within aerospace, defense, or propulsion.
• 5+ years in a supervisory role leading production or R&D manufacturing teams.
• Demonstrated experience with solid rocket motors, propellants, or analogous high-hazard operations.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MES systems and production control practices.

• Direct leadership experience in missile propulsion R&D environments.
• Background in fast-paced aerospace startups with aggressive timelines.
• Experience scaling new manufacturing facilities or test capabilities.
