Dynamics Simulation-Associate Engineer (Engine Simulation)

Location: Onsite in Mossville, Illinois, United States; five days per week. Domestic travel of up to 10% may be required. Relocation is available; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year

What you will do

• Execute multi-body dynamics simulations across engine platforms and applications.
• Define simulation requirements with cross-functional teams for new products, product issue resolution, and cost reduction projects.
• Document analysis objectives, assumptions, methods, results, and conclusions.
• Interpret simulation results and recommend design improvements.
• Collaborate with engine test teams to improve simulation tools and develop new methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of dynamics and vibration analysis, including formal coursework in vibrations and/or dynamics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to handle increasingly complex assignments and contribute to project planning and execution.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week and travel domestically up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with internal combustion engines and engine-related vibrations.
• Hands-on testing experience with torsional dynamics.
• Familiarity with multi-body dynamics simulation tools and finite element analysis.
• Project leadership experience.
• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
