Analytics Engineer (dbt)

Location: Must be living in the Netherlands or EU. Office located in Amsterdam.

Salary: €4,200 – €5,200 per month

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models powering behavioral analytics and event-tracking pipelines.
• Own and improve analytical data modeling practices and evolve the data governance framework.
• Monitor and optimize dbt pipelines and Looker infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to define and measure key metrics.
• Review code and mentor team members to maintain high technical and modeling standards.
• Contribute to AI adoption initiatives to unlock value in analytical and reporting processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data or Analytics Engineer on data-intensive applications.
• Must be living in the Netherlands or EU.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt for data modeling and transformation.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Python proficiency and experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Looker or a comparable BI/semantic-layer tool.

Nice to have

• Experience with data access control and masking patterns in dbt.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS).
• Interest in data observability and lineage tooling.
