TL;DR
Data Engineer (Python/Spark/Fintech): Build scalable data pipelines and optimize data infrastructure for an online payments company with an accent on ETL/ELT, streaming data, data lakes, and database performance. Focus on integrating diverse data sources, designing reliable cloud-based platforms, and processing large-scale data with Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
Location: Lithuania; fully remote. Conditions mention the Netherlands, Latvia, Tallinn, the EU, Kyiv, and Georgia.
Salary: up to €6,000 gross per month.

is hiring for a fast-growing digital payments client providing payment gateway services, global payment processing, and open banking solutions for online businesses.
What you will do
- Integrate data from various sources into internal systems.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines and data ingestion processes.
- Own, maintain, and document data lakes.
- Transform complex data structures into machine-readable formats.
- Design and maintain databases and data infrastructure.
- Improve data quality, reliability, and process efficiency in collaboration with other departments.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion, transformation, integration, and orchestration.
- Practical experience with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, AWS, Apache Airflow, and Docker.
- Experience with database design, data modeling, optimization, performance tuning, and cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Git, data architecture, data quality, reliability, scalability, and software development best practices.
- English and Russian language skills required. Fintech experience, analytical thinking, independent prioritization, and strong collaboration skills are also required.
