Salary: $150,000 – $230,000 Base + Equity

What you will do

• Design backend systems for modeling and simulation platforms
• Build Python services, APIs, and distributed backend systems
• Define domain models, data contracts, and service boundaries
• Debug complex production systems across services, databases, and infrastructure
• Lead technical direction while remaining hands-on

Requirements

• Strong production Python backend engineering experience
• Experience building operationally complex systems (modelling, simulation, defence, geospatial, gaming, or logistics)
• Proven track record of owning backend services and distributed systems from design to production
• Experience leading technical direction
• Must be based in the US

Nice to have

• Defence, government, or security-cleared experience
• Experience supporting mission-critical or regulated software
• Experience leading small engineering teams
• Exposure to heterogeneous compute or embedded systems
