Design Engineer (Automotive): Designing innovative automotive chassis, structural, and body systems for combat-proven wheeled armored military vehicles with an accent on 3D modeling, production drawings, and design validation. Focus on developing manufacturable components, applying GD&T and stack analysis, and managing technical documentation across the full design process.

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

NIMR manufactures light and medium-weight wheeled armored military vehicles with in-house design and production capabilities.

What you will do

Design automotive chassis, structural, and body systems for wheeled armored military vehicles.
Develop 3D model concepts for review and approval.
Create 2D production and manufacturing drawings from approved 3D models.
Prepare drawing markups, stack analyses, GD&T specifications, and component drawings.
Support the release of technical documentation, including DFMEA, DVP&R, and design validation reports.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5–7 years of experience in automotive design or a relevant industry.
Experience across the full design lifecycle, from concept development through production.
Experience with automated drafting, 3D modeling, CREO, and CAE systems.
