What you will do

• Build drafting systems by decomposing expert legal reasoning into explicit decision trees and logic for AI models.
• Develop deep mastery in unfamiliar practice areas to serve as the internal subject matter expert for the company.
• Translate legal judgment into product requirements, taxonomies, and evaluation criteria for ML and Data Science teams.
• Maintain and expand the knowledge base and case-specific templates for personal injury claims.
• Conduct nationwide legal research on liability and damages and mentor Legal Operations on evolving standards.
• Lead quality assurance efforts via audits and benchmarking to support model evaluation.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5+ years of substantive legal experience with depth in personal injury litigation across multiple states.
• Proven track record of quickly mastering multiple unfamiliar practice areas.
• Exceptional legal drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to provide unambiguous, actionable direction for non-lawyers (engineers and data scientists).
• Working fluency with large language models (LLMs) in real substantive work.

Nice to have

• AI-native mindset with experience building scripts, agents, or workflows using tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
