What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Forensic Underwriting team and serve as the primary escalation point for loan-level decisions.
• Monitor performance metrics to ensure documentation accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Coach and develop staff through one-on-one meetings, onboarding, and upskilling initiatives.
• Manage loan pipelines and collaborate with investors to resolve defects and rebuttals.
• Review production trends and suggest process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Balance team assignments and task loads to ensure all deadlines and investor turn times are met.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead or senior role.
• Proven experience addressing investor conditions and exceptions.
• Deep understanding of Agency, Non-Agency, Bond, and Non-QM guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage regulatory rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and excellent problem-solving skills.
