TL;DR

Data Engineer (AI): Designing and deploying scalable, AI-enabled data solutions and ML pipelines for mission-critical DoD environments with an accent on data pipelines and MLOps. Focus on transforming raw data into decision-support tools using distributed frameworks and containerized environments.

Location: On-site in Stuttgart, Germany (SCIF). Must have Top Secret / SCI Clearance to start.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operationally deploy scalable, AI-enabled data solutions within secure environments.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, pre-processing workflows, and feature engineering strategies.
• Implement machine learning services and MLOps practices for mission-critical deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, full-stack developers, and platform engineers to create decision-support tools.
• Transform raw data into meaningful insights through advanced analytics and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in applied data science, ML engineering, or data pipeline development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed data frameworks like Spark, Databricks, or PySpark.
• Experience developing and deploying ML models using scikit-learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost, or MLflow.
• Familiarity with secure cloud-based environments such as AWS, Azure, or Palantir Foundry.
• Active Top Secret / SCI Clearance is required to start.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized experience (7-11 years depending on degree level).

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Plotly, or Matplotlib.
• Strong understanding of data validation, model testing, and performance evaluation.
• Excellent technical communication skills for explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
