IPT Lead Engineer - Development (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY; the A&A team is based in East Aurora, NY

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead an Integrated Product Team responsible for the technical direction, design, development, integration, and testing of TVC actuation systems.
• Guide product designs through technical trade studies, qualification, documentation, compliance, safety, and transition to production.
• Coordinate with program, engineering, customer, supplier, and vendor organizations to maintain technical and process alignment.
• Support design, readiness, and customer reviews, including technical presentations and communications.
• Develop technical plans, schedules, estimates, progress metrics, and status inputs for program execution.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and solutions to complex engineering problems while identifying opportunities for emerging technologies and new business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 5 years of space system design experience.
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams.
• Experience across the full program lifecycle and presenting at customer reviews.
• Experience with risk management, Earned Value Management, Microsoft Project scheduling, and Agile design processes.
• Ability to work onsite in the Buffalo/East Aurora, New York area and access U.S. export-controlled information.
