Architect - FinOps (Gamedev)

Salary: $156,140–$206,140 CAD per year

What you will do

• Lead technical aspects of FinOps software development and data analysis, including team mentorship.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across AWS and other vendor platforms like Unity, Splunk, and Datadog.
• Design and develop FinOps tooling including data pipelines, APIs, and automated reporting solutions.
• Partner with product management, finance, and engineering teams to drive data-informed cost optimization decisions.
• Serve as a technical advisor for cloud cost optimization, architecture decisions, and best practices.
• Assist in designing SQL tables and utilizing Tableau for accurate cost transparency and analysis.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and software programming (Python).
• Proven experience serving as a technical leader in an enterprise environment collaborating with 50+ teams.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, API development, UI design, and data pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and continuous integration testing.
• Strong collaborative approach and ability to mentor other engineers.

• Previous experience with FinOps practices and cost management analysis.
