Solutions Architect (Azure)

Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid with 2–3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Design enterprise solution and data architectures on the Azure/Microsoft stack for complex technology programs.
• Architect scalable cloud, integration, and data solutions using APIs, Kafka/event-driven architecture, and modern data pipelines.
• Design and oversee ETL and data pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Define integration patterns, API strategies, SQL/NoSQL data models, and storage solutions.
• Align architecture decisions with enterprise security, governance, and architecture standards.
• Partner with delivery leads, business analysts, and engineering teams to guide implementation, assess risks, and recommend technical improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise solution or data architecture on the Azure/Microsoft stack.
• Strong experience with scalable cloud, integration, and data solutions using APIs, Kafka/event-driven architecture, SQL/NoSQL, and ETL pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of security, governance, enterprise architecture standards, and modern data platform patterns.
• Ability to communicate complex technical designs to technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
