Salary: $111,000 - $167,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop high-quality Android applications and shared mobile components.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of reusable UI components and shared Android frameworks.
• Partner with UX designers to translate design patterns into scalable, accessible implementations.
• Collaborate with engineers and product owners to solve complex industry problems.
• Advocate for accessibility, performance, and reliability across mobile solutions.
• Produce unit tests and support automated functional testing to ensure high code quality.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from San Diego, CA.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, including Android.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Jetpack, Coroutines, and Android architecture components.
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and common design patterns like MVVM or clean architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and mobile release workflows.
• Experience working with REST APIs or GraphQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with peripherals, wearables, and Bluetooth.
• Experience building mobile Design Systems or modular architectures.
• Familiarity with performance profiling and mobile app quality practices.
• Experience collaborating with iOS engineers for cross-platform consistency.
