Senior Frontend Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, based in the NYC office in Chelsea; on-site approximately 3 days per week

Base salary: $160,000–$200,000 annually, plus a 10% discretionary annual bonus and equity grant.

What you will do

• Own the Kotlin/Android customer interface connecting users with hirify.global’s robotics capabilities.
• Translate hardware telemetry into React and Next.js web applications for partners and support staff.
• Integrate frontend applications with Go microservices, from API contracts through user-facing state.
• Set frontend standards for code quality, testing, architecture, state management, navigation, and component systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, mobile release processes, and multi-environment deployments.
• Promote effective use of AI-assisted development and automated testing across the engineering team.

Requirements

• Production experience building Kotlin mobile applications, ideally with Jetpack Compose and Gradle.
• Proficiency with modern UX application patterns, including component libraries, form validation, data fetching, and server-side rendering.
• Strong understanding of REST API integration, authentication flows, and client-side state management.
• Experience with mobile release pipelines, CI/CD automation, and multi-environment deployment processes.
• Bias toward action, iterative production delivery, and ownership of quality from commit to customer.
• Ability to work on-site in the NYC office under the hybrid schedule.
