What you will do

• Develop the Close product, integrating collaboration, automation, and reporting tools for finance teams.
• Build infrastructure to ingest and transform financial events into a unified data graph.
• Improve system robustness through consistent refactoring and code quality enhancements.
• Design and manage systems to support AI development and deployment for faster iteration.
• Collaborate in a tight feedback loop with customers to ship visible and impactful product changes.

Requirements

• Must be based in or work in-person in New York City.
• 3+ years of full-time software engineering experience, ideally with 2+ years at a single company.
• Fluency in backend fundamentals, including data structures, database design, and performance concepts.
• Strong code design skills to build robust, high-quality programs.

Nice to have

• Experience in B2B SaaS, particularly within finance or accounting domains.
• Established and strong AI development workflows.
• Strong product thinking, user empathy, or design thinking.
