What you will do

• Lead and expand the local data & AI capability, supporting club leadership and the global data practice.
• Design and implement extensible, scalable data architectures using Databricks and Azure/Fabric.
• Translate complex data concepts into tangible business value for enterprise-scale clients.
• Manage the full Data Product Lifecycle, ensuring security, discoverability, and quality by design.
• Build AI solutions ranging from SLMs to intelligent agentic automation using LLMs and MLOps.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams and maintain technical depth in Python, R, and SQL.

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing teams and solving enterprise-scale data challenges.
• Extensive experience building production-ready data solutions with Databricks.
• Deep expertise in AI solutions (RAG, LLMs, Agentic automation) on modern platforms.
• Fluency in Python, R, or SQL.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in Birmingham, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, or GCP.
• Databricks Certifications (Data Engineer Associate/Professional or GenAI Associate).
