hirify.global is an aerospace company building all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to advance sustainable air mobility.

What you will do

  • Own the turbogenerator system and manage a multidisciplinary team of experts in fuel, turbine design, exhaust, and thermal systems.
  • Ensure the turboshaft is successfully integrated, tested, and certified within the aircraft.
  • Optimize turboshaft design and manage technical, certification, and program risks.
  • Direct turbogenerator testing, verification, and certification programs.
  • Define turboshaft sub-systems, integration challenges, and the overall hybrid-powertrain strategy.

Requirements

  • BS/MS/PhD in a related scientific or engineering field.
  • 10+ years of experience in turboshaft design and engine control.
  • Strong understanding of turboshaft operation and proficiency with industry-standard tools and processes.
  • Proven experience applying Part-33 / CS-E standards in novel systems programs.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical rationale to multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US; no visa sponsorship is available.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with hybrid-electric aircraft, eVTOLs, or hybrid automotive powertrains.
  • Familiarity with FAA or EASA certification of electric powertrains and propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of simulation model validation, model calibration, and uncertainty quantification methods.
