Location: Seattle, Washington; on-site

Salary: $216,000–$325,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for eligible full-time employees.

What you will do

  • Define and execute the aircraft power-system vision from concept through production, covering generation, regulation, distribution, power quality, and control.
  • Design and integrate high-power and high-voltage power electronics for autonomous aircraft operating in harsh environments.
  • Design an uninterruptible power system with a high-capacity battery and conduct make-versus-buy trade studies.
  • Build a power electronics laboratory and select, test, and integrate system modules.
  • Verify system performance and reliability while debugging electrical, environmental, and manufacturing issues.
  • Build and lead the power-system engineering team, drive cross-functional architecture execution, and provide mentorship and design-review leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Power-system design experience on large aircraft or equivalent systems such as rockets, satellites, or submarines.
  • Experience delivering power-system and power-electronic products to market.
  • Proficiency with electrical-engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment.
  • Strong technical fundamentals and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Seattle, Washington.
