Power System Lead (Launch Recovery Vehicle)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; on-site

Salary: $216,000–$325,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular full-time employees.

What you will do

• Define and execute the launch and recovery vehicle power-system vision from concept through production.
• Design, develop, and integrate high-power systems for reliable operation in harsh environments.
• Guide custom power-electronics designs and enable an uninterruptible power system.
• Conduct make-versus-buy trade studies, select modules, and integrate them into the aircraft.
• Drive verification, reliability validation, debugging, and resolution of electrical, environmental, and manufacturing issues.
• Lead and mentor engineers while coordinating cross-functional architecture and program execution.

Requirements

• Experience designing power systems for a large vehicle, aircraft, or equivalent system such as a rocket, satellite, or submarine.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience delivering power-system and power-electronics products to market.
• Proficiency with electrical-engineering development tools, simulation, and test equipment.
• Strong technical fundamentals and analytical skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Seattle, Washington.
