What you will do

• Conduct forensic investigations into structural failures, collapses, and construction defects.
• Perform site inspections to gather field data, measurements, and documentation.
• Analyze structural systems to determine the cause, origin, and extent of damages.
• Prepare clear and technically sound forensic engineering reports based on applicable codes and standards.
• Provide litigation support through depositions, mediation, arbitration, and expert testimony.
• Communicate technical findings effectively to clients, attorneys, and insurance professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; multiple state licensure is preferred.
• Proven experience investigating structural failures and construction defects.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including short-notice travel for catastrophic events.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently to inspection sites.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
