What you will do

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team responsible for the ontology-based semantic data modeling framework.
• Own the end-to-end architecture for semantic modeling capabilities, including ontology design, schema management, and versioning.
• Drive the development of production-grade tooling and services for defining, discovering, and governing semantic data models.
• Establish engineering best practices for ontology governance, model lifecycle management, and data quality.
• Partner with AI/ML and Data Platform teams to ensure alignment with graph databases and lakehouse architectures.
• Mentor an international team of engineers and ontology specialists, fostering a culture of technical rigor and collaboration.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 4+ years in engineering management leading teams of 6+.
• Expertise in data modeling, ontology design, knowledge graphs, or domain-driven data architecture.
• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Neptune, JanusGraph) and standards like RDF, OWL, SHACL, or SPARQL.
• Proficiency with modern cloud-native data ecosystems, including Kafka, Spark, Flink, and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries and drive the adoption of platforms or frameworks.
• Must be based in the USA.
