Salary: $196,000 - $230,000 USD (Base pay for Zone 1).

What you will do

• Design and scale CDC, snapshot, and streaming ingestion systems to transfer operational data into the data lake.
• Improve pipeline reliability, data quality, and monitoring to reduce replication lag.
• Develop self-service onboarding tools for partner teams to register databases and schemas securely.
• Collaborate with platform teams to implement ingestion patterns tailored to latency and compliance requirements.
• Implement access controls and PII-handling workflows to protect sensitive data throughout its lifecycle.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience in backend platforms or distributed data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Deep expertise with relational databases like Postgres and CDC mechanisms.
• Proven experience building large-scale streaming systems using Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS S3), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and schema governance.
