Salary: $123,900 – $222,000 USD

What you will do

• Architect, design, and manage DBaaS services for database infrastructure.
• Develop APIs to enhance the availability, scalability, and performance of databases across multiple clouds.
• Create dashboards to measure database KPIs and implement auto-remediation techniques.
• Provide support for large-scale database instances in production and non-production environments.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support database infrastructure.
• Partner with service and performance teams to drive architecture improvements and resiliency.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and managing mission-critical production workloads on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and CloudSQL.
• 4+ years of backend development experience using Golang, Python, or Java.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• 4+ years of experience managing clustered, highly-available database services on Linux.
• 4+ years of experience with DevOps technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automation tools like Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with database tools such as Vitess, Percona MHA, or Orchestrator.
• Experience with AWS Gov Cloud.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science.
