What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex database migrations from Oracle to AWS.
• Configure and secure AWS infrastructure including VPCs, subnets, and routing protocols.
• Design and implement batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines using CDC and streaming architectures.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and data synchronization using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Develop comprehensive migration runbooks and technical rollback strategies to minimize downtime.
• Perform requirements gathering and cost/benefit analyses for system modernization.

Requirements

• Must reside in the State of Texas and be local to the Austin area (within a 50-mile radius).
• 8+ years of experience in IT supporting enterprise technology solutions.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with AWS DMS for Oracle to AWS migrations.
• 8+ years of experience designing AWS cloud infrastructure and networking topologies.
• 8+ years of experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration methodologies.
• 8+ years of experience scripting and automating workflows using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Database – Specialty certification.
• Experience working in public sector or state government environments.
