Systems Engineer

TL;DR

Systems Engineer: Manage and refine system requirements for complex hardware/software systems throughout the development lifecycle with an accent on space domain awareness, geolocation, RF signal processing, geospatial analytics, and SDR technologies. Focus on defining architectures, integrating software across hardware platforms, generating alternative system concepts, and ensuring technical integrity and compliance.

Location: Onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance required.

What you will do

• Manage system and derived requirements for compatibility with architectures like DoDAF and SOA.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation including plans, specifications, and interface control documents.
• Define functional requirements and allocate to hardware, software, facilities, and personnel.
• Coordinate action items from CCB meetings, design reviews, and test reviews across teams.
• Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and design solutions while guiding technical direction.
• Define verification methods, contribute to interface definitions, and oversee technical integrity of baselines.

Requirements

• 7-14+ years of systems engineering experience on medium-to-large programs (20-100 people)
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related (or 5+ additional years experience)
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, etc.)

Nice to have

• Proficiency with SysML tools: Cameo/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or similar
• INCOSE ASEP or related systems engineering certifications
