Senior AI Platform Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Four days per week in the office in Chicago, Illinois, or Overland Park, Kansas; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $119,000–$169,400 base salary annually, plus potential incentive compensation and long-term equity participation.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and govern enterprise-scale intelligent automation systems based on agentic AI.
• Develop AI systems using LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, prompt engineering, and multi-agent architectures.
• Design security controls including AI threat modeling, prompt-injection defenses, zero-trust principles, and secure model input and output handling.
• Build resilient, observable, traceable, and auditable AI pipelines that operate reliably at scale.
• Drive alignment across engineering, security, product, operations, legal, and compliance teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into architecture decisions, roadmaps, and executive-level communications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML systems, software engineering, or cybersecurity.
• Production experience building, securing, and operating agentic AI systems at scale.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python and a compiled language, plus experience with microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience designing agent orchestration patterns, debugging non-deterministic failures, and implementing observability and tracing.
• Applied security expertise in prompt injection, jailbreaking, tool misuse, AI red-teaming, or penetration testing.
• Four days per week in the Chicago or Overland Park office; US work authorization required without current or future visa sponsorship.

• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
