TL;DR
Technical Program Manager (Hardware): Managing the end-to-end execution of a ruggedized marine power and sensing system from design freeze through production and global fielding with an accent on hardware lifecycles (EVT/DVT/PVT) and vendor management. Focus on driving the integrated master schedule, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring hardware compliance and manufacturability.
Location: Hybrid (Arlington, VA or Boston, MA) with an option for remote work
Salary: $180K – $230K + Equity

is building a comprehensive maritime intelligence platform using the SmartMast™ system to transform vessels into a distributed sensing network.
What you will do
- Own end-to-end planning and execution of hardware programs, including architecture freeze, EVT/DVT/PVT, production ramp, and field deployment.
- Build and maintain an integrated master schedule with dependency-mapped milestones across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing tracks.
- Manage contract manufacturer engagement, builds, first-article inspections, and long-lead component procurement.
- Coordinate the compliance and certification roadmap, including EMC, IP ratings, and TAA sourcing constraints.
- Run the engineering change process (ECR/ECO) and plan new product introduction (NPI) and global field rollouts.
- Facilitate cross-functional cadence and serve as the primary point of contact for program status and decision timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of technical program management experience in hardware, robotics, or embedded systems.
- Proven track record managing at least one full EVT/DVT/PVT cycle into volume production.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing BOMs and supply chain risks.
- Working knowledge of hardware compliance and certification processes.
- Proficiency with Linear, Notion, and Gantt/scheduling tools.
Nice to have
- Background in maritime, aerospace, or defense.
- Experience with marine environmental standards such as IEC 60945, IACS UR E10, and IP66/67.
