Project Procurement Specialist

TL;DR

Project Procurement Specialist: Coordinating end-to-end purchasing activities for engineering projects with an accent on COTS hardware/software procurement and supplier negotiation. Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Tres Cantos, Madrid, Spain (Hybrid role).

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to define procurement needs for equipment, hardware, software, and licenses.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to secure optimal technical and economic conditions.
• Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process from initial request to order issuance and follow-up.
• Report on purchase request status to project leads.
• Manage issues related to defective or non-compliant materials.
• Handle software license transfers and manage supplier services.

Requirements

• Experience working with modern standard COTS computing/networking hardware and COTS software.
• Proficiency with the MS Office toolset.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Spain (relocation package available).
• Strong communication skills for supplier and internal stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of COTS software licensing and dimensioning.
