What you will do

• Evolve the automation platform to enable AI agents to dynamically generate and execute workflows.
• Design and ship large-scale, distributed, high-throughput systems for enterprise endpoints.
• Integrate generative AI as a core product capability rather than a secondary feature.
• Influence architectural decisions and set engineering standards as a senior technical voice.
• Partner with Product, Security, and AI/ML teams to align engineering strategy with business goals.
• Mentor teammates and drive engineering excellence in observability, performance, and resilience.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience, including 3+ years at Staff or Principal level.
• Expertise in Java (17+) and distributed systems architecture.
• Proven experience building and scaling real-time, high-throughput systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Kubernetes/ECS).
• Experience deploying Generative AI in production with measurable outcomes.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lausanne, Switzerland.

Nice to have

• Advanced AI/ML experience including model fine-tuning and training.
• Experience with B2B enterprise products.
